Air NZ Ruffles Feathers With The Return Of Dave The Goose

Dave is back in Air New Zealand’s Better Way to Fly campaign, with a new instalment featuring the Bryan Brown-voiced goose following his dream of becoming a flight attendant for the airline that puts people first.

The campaign heroes the airline’s warm and personal service – where travellers are not just part of the flock – and reminds Australians why Air New Zealand is the best choice for travel across the Tasman and to North and South America.

Air New Zealand general manager Australia Kathryn Robertson said the airline is ramping up Australian operations, with the first of its new Airbus A321neo aircraft deploying on Tasman services in November, and two new trans-Tasman routes starting in December.

“We pride ourselves on our service and customers tell us our outstanding people and onboard experience are the reason they prefer Air New Zealand.

“Customers can enjoy top New Zealand food and wines – served with a Kiwi touch – wherever they choose to sit.

“This strategic push comes as we’re offering Australians even more travel options including new direct services from Brisbane to both Queenstown and Wellington, and our new Chicago service offering Australians a seamless journey via Auckland to America’s Midwest.”

Air New Zealand launched its Better Way to Fly campaign featuring Dave the Goose in October 2016 in a move to capture more of the Australian long-haul travel market.

Winning Aussies’ hearts and a swag of awards, Dave has since starred in five of the airline’s Australian campaigns, which have seen him cause a flap in Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and in New Zealand with his Sam Neill voiced wing-mate, Pete the Kiwi.
