The Works Unveils String Of New Appointments

The Works has bolstered its creative, digital and human centered design (HCD) capabilities with a number of senior hires and promotions across the agency.

Following organic and new business growth, The Works has promoted creative leads Guy Patrick and Nathan Bilton to creative directors. Patrick and Bilton have been with the business for more than eight and 11 years respectively, consistently creating award-winning effective work for clients including Jim Beam, Canadian Club and News Corp.

With more than 10 years of agency and client experience, Rebecca Luiters joins The Works as head of digital from Wunderman Thompson owned, Mirum, where she was delivery experience director. Luiters, who previously contracted at The Works as a senior digital producer, has also held roles at agencies including MRM/McCann, Adcorp, Wunderman and DraftFCB, as well as Vodafone.

Following the launch of The Works’ Human Centered Design (HCD) practice in September, former EY senior consultant for customer advisory, Martin Murphy, has been appointed as HCD designer. The strategist, who is a certified design thinking facilitator, also spent more than three years at Accenture focused on customer journey mapping, capability development and business case development.

Rounding out the new hires is senior developer Adam Tengku who joins from HCD and development agency Sitback Solutions where he worked for more than three years. He has also held roles at Bang and Canvas Group.

Tom Harber, managing partner at The Works said: “The Works has always focused on delivering growth for our clients. To do this we have always tried to stay ahead of the changes required as marketers to drive success and that requires the very best people working across multiple disciplines. We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca, Martin and Adam to the team and congratulate Guy and Nathan on their new roles.”

Luiters started at The Works on Monday, while Murphy and Tengku start on 8 October.

    1. Adam, you’ve been a much-loved member of the Sitback team and completed some fantastic projects for our clients (not to mention being a pro-netballer!) – we’ll miss you heaps! However, we’re super excited to see how your career grows and know this next chapter with The Works will be terrific. Stop by for lunch and a run soon (not necessarily in that order).
