The Works Appoints Phil Watson As Creative Partner

The Works have appointed award winning creative Phil Watson as creative partner as the independent Sydney agency continues to record new business growth.

Watson joins The Works from 303Lowe where for the past three years he worked as creative director of digital, direct and brand activation.

During his more than 20-year career, Watson has held senior creative roles at Momentum Worldwide Publicis Mojo, iLeo and Lavender. He was worked on award winning campaigns for brands including Heineken, Boags, Tooheys and Amex.

The addition of another creative partner follows Optus’ decision to add The Works to its roster of agencies earlier this year. The telco appointed the agency to handle its customer communications in 2015. Significant organic growth has also continued with existing clients including Beam Suntory.

Damian Pincus, creative partner and founder of The Works said, “The past 12 months has been the best in the agency’s history. The time is right time to bring in another senior creative thinker who epitomizes our Creatives on the Forefront model in engaging directly with clients to address their business issues.

“Phil’s extensive experience in integrated, digital and brand activation make him the perfect addition to our leadership team and he’ll help continue the momentum we are currently enjoying. We’re delighted he’s bringing his expertise to the agency and our clients at this important time.”

Watson added, “The Works are one of the best agencies in Australia right now. I’m proud to be on board and looking forward to helping deliver more of the innovative and effective work they are renowned for.”
