The Sad World Of Abandoned Shopping Carts Revealed In Y&R NY Campaign

Admit it – we’re all guilty of adding items to our online shopping cart and then straight up abandoning them, never to think of them again. It was this very premise that Y&R New York ran with in a new campaign for online discount code hub RetailMeNot.

The spot aims to brings to life that reality of abandoned shopping carts, with two ads titled ‘Carts’ and ‘Handbag’, while raising awareness of site features beyond promo codes.

Y&R said its mission was “to transform the brand’s position from a coupon aggregator to a tool that empowers more confident shoppers”.

In the ‘Handbag’ spot, a shopper overcomes her retail-price angst thanks to a discount from RetailMeNot’s mobile app in a more bricks and mortar approach.
