Neil Mallet Set To Exit Melbourne Agency Marmalade

Neil Mallet, executive creative director and founding partner of Marmalade, is set to depart the communications agency over the next few months.

The company he started 12 years ago, with Managing Director Victor Maree, has maintained a strong independent and creative profile in the Melbourne market, and according to Mallet, “Will continue to be a smart operation with some very skilled and likeable people involved. I have been fortunate enough to be part of a highly successful agency start-up. Over the last 12 years the business has grown from two staff, one phone and no clients, to what I think is one of the most well-rounded, creatively focussed, independent shops in the country.

“ Our work over recent times has also been some of our best, which also makes it feel like a great time to exit.”

Recently, the agency has had work recognised at Cannes, Clio Healthcare, Caples Awards, W3, One Show Interactive and Globals.

“I have enjoyed the company of some outstanding clients and staff and no doubt, this is what I will miss the most. But after 12 great years, I feel the need to do something different” said Mallet.

Mallet plans to take some time off, before pursuing other business interests. “Growing up in Queensland and now resident in Victoria, I need to dedicate my immediate future to understanding the complexities of Auskick.”
