Bonds Teams Up With Miranda Kerr To Launch New Swimwear Range

One of Australia’s most iconic brands has recruited model Miranda Kerr to be the face of its new swimwear range.

Bonds Swim will include women’s mix-and-match separates, rashies, and men’s board shorts, plus a kids and baby range, including swim Zip Wondersuits, all inspired by “classic shapes and vibrant prints signature to Bonds”.

Creatively directed and produced by The ARC Factory, the Bonds Swim campaign featuring Kerr will launch in-store and online on 5 September.

Bonds’ head of marketing, Emily Small, said Kerr was an obvious choice to launch the brand’s new swimwear range.

“Miranda is a quintessential Aussie girl, leading a healthy and active lifestyle by the beach,” she said. We are thrilled to be working with her again.”

Kerr is one of the original Bonds girls, having first worked with the brand in 2002, and joined the brand again last year to celebrate its 100th birthday and champion the ‘Classics’ campaign.

Bonds’ senior designer, Anna Banno said that with the activewear market continuing to build momentum, swimwear has also enjoyed a spike in growth by association, with the international market projected to reach $20 billion globally by 2020.

“Off the back of the activewear boom, swimwear was the next natural step for us,” Banno said.

“The sport and activewear trend is all about getting outdoors, and for Aussies, this is so closely linked to the coastal lifestyle.

“Our point of difference is the ability to create fun prints in a range of great comfy, basic styles for the whole family and at an affordable price.”
