Mark Taylor Swaps A Bat For A Chainsaw In Fujitsu’s Latest TVC

Summer is coming, so Fujitsu has recruited its long-term ambassador, former Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor, to promote a deal that will help families stay cool when the mercury rises in a campaign by 303 MullenLowe.

Artfully wielding a chainsaw, sledgehammer and ice chisel, Taylor chats about Fujitsu’s bonus two year extended warranty while carving a giant wedge of ice.

“Fujitsu’s summer campaign is targeting people who suffer in the heat unnecessarily when they could be cool and comfortable. Last year’s ‘Cool Finance’ sales promotion was a huge success, so this year we decided to enhance the offer with a bonus 2 year extended warranty,” said Dave Smith, general manager sales and marketing at Fujitsu General Australia.

Matt Clarke, managing partner at 303 MullenLowe said: “A lot of people put off buying a ducted air conditioner because they don’t realise how affordable they are. So they compromise by buying an inferior system, or don’t buy one at all. We’re tackling this challenge with a campaign that prompts people to take up Fujitsu’s offer before summer heats up.”

Fujitsu General is a leading supplier of air conditioners in Australia thanks in part to the popularity of its annual campaigns starring Mark Taylor, who has been the face of ‘Australia’s Favourite Air’ since 1998.

The latest Fujitsu campaign launches this Sunday 2nd October, and rolls out nationally across TV, print, radio, OOH, point of sale and digital platforms.

It promotes Fujitsu’s bonus 2 year extended warranty offered on all Fujitsu ducted air conditioning systems, as well as their no deposit, no interest for 5 Years ‘Cool Finance’ offer.
