J. Walter Thompson Sydney To Handle Subway’s Creative Duties

Subway Restaurants has announced it has appointed J. Walter Thompson Sydney as its agency of record for Australia and New Zealand, following a competitive pitch.

The appointment will see J. Walter Thompson Sydney execute the full breadth of Subway’s communications, from strategy and brand evaluation, through to creative positioning, digital engagement, plus social and CRM.

Subway’s senior marketing manager, Kate Brody, said J. Walter Thompson’s ability to provide strong expertise teamed with a nimble structure tailored to meet its needs was a driving factor in the appointment.

“J. Walter Thompson is not just a creative agency, but a broad team with digital credentials, strong strategic skills and capabilities that run across our entire communications requirements,” she said.

“Teamed with a strong cultural fit, we are confident this relationship will result in real benefits for our Australian and New Zealand business.”

J. Walter Thompson Sydney general manager Paul Everson said the team was honoured to be working with such an established global food brand.
