goa Offers Australian Charities $1,000,000 Of Free Media Space In 2017

In 2016, Brisbane Festival, MDA, St Vincent de Paul and Museum of Brisbane were given access to over $1,000,000 of media space which has and will continue to help these community organisations reach hundreds of thousands of people.

The Community Partnerships Program (CPP) is an initiative of out-of-home provider goa, and now the Queensland based media company is calling community organisations and charities to pitch some engaging and creative ideas for next year’s campaign.

The application process is simple; goa has provided a creative brief that can be easily accessed on their website. Charities can then pitch their campaign idea which, if chosen, could result in thousands of dollars worth of media space throughout goa’s vast network of billboards. The brief asks for the charity’s mission statement and details on the day to day functions of the organisation, as well as further information on the creative concept and the rationale behind it – goa will choose only the most creative and innovative candidates to ensure maximum reach and efficiency.

One of this year’s participants, MDA, set up a three-month campaign with goa that saw three million mentions on social media with the hashtag #CreateWelcome. This campaign bridged the gap between out-of-home advertising and social media in a huge way, smashing the expectations of both parties whilst proving to be quite the precedent for the effectiveness of the CPP.

“It is a rewarding feeling to see goa in the position to be able to give back to the community by providing free access to our network. This year has shown us that this initiative will not only build exposure and support for these charities, but also see that their initiatives flourish.” said Chris Tyquin, joint managing director of goa.

goa will be holding a Q and A on Wednesday 5 October at 10am for any prospective organisations that want to come along and gain insights as to how they can make their application stand out. Submissions will close at the end of October and the shortlist will be announced 14 November. The successful applicants will be announced on16 December 2016.

To submit an application or for further information head to the goa website goa.com.au

goa encourages all community organisations, big or small, to put their name forward for this incredible chance at a community partnership with goa.
