Shaving brand Gillette continues to push the boundaries in its advertising, unveiling a new spot that shows a father teaching his trans son to shave.
The focus of the ad is young Samson Bonkeabantu Brown, a trans teenager and artist from Toronto in Canada, who shares the advice his incredibly supportive father has given him about shaving.
The latest campaign seems to have found universal social media support, unlike the brand’s “We Believe: The Best Man Can Be” out of the US in February that led to a number of high-profile people calling on the brand to be boycotted.
The text at the end of the latest spot reads “whenever, however it happens – your first shave is special”. Check out the work below:
