Family Planning, Frank & Made In Katana Aim To Improve Sexual Health Attitudes With New Campaign

Family Planning and Frank have enlisted production company Made in Katana as the creative force behind their latest campaign for safer sexual health.

The ‘Talk, Test, Enjoy’ campaign encourages health literacy and safer sexual health practices in adults under 30, aiming to improve attitudes towards discussion, testing, perceived risks and education in effective use of safe sex techniques.

Made in Katana developed the campaign creative direction, aiming the message at young adults to effectively let them know that with the right sexual health attitudes they can ‘be Frank and enjoy yourself’.

A series of multimedia spots were developed by Made in Katana to push the campaign through a broad set of streaming services and social media platforms. Animated spots with visually striking images were created around direct, memorable slogans.

Phase #1: Talk

In this phase, the campaign encourages discourse and conversation about risks and exposure.  By removing the stigma of discussion, prevention of transmission and sexual health awareness becomes more easily accessible to the public.

Supporting messaging

Be Frank, enjoy yourself.

Whoever you’re with.

Share the info that really matters, because sharing really is caring.

Avoid STIs and talk about it.

Taking care of your partner’s and your own sexual health is as easy as a conversation.

Talk. Test. Enjoy.

Phase #2: Test

The following phase promotes using the readily available and confidential public health resources to screen for STIs. It encourages confidence in screening so that young adults can have trust in safe sexual encounters.

Supporting messaging

Be Frank, enjoy yourself.

Avoid STIs and get tested.

Literally.

Protect yourself and your partners from STIs/BBVs; your local clinic knows it’s not a big deal.

Yearly, with a new partner, or if something feels strange.

Talk. Test. Enjoy.

Phase 3: Enjoy

Finally, after discussion and screening has been promoted, the last phase encourages the use of condoms for effective and accessible protection. In sharing mutual respect for each other, all partnerships can benefit.

Supporting messaging

Be Frank, enjoy yourself.

Avoid STIs and use a condom.

It’s your best protection against an infection.

Talk. Test. Enjoy
