Cinema Forced To Apologise After Airing R-Rated Trailer At ‘Finding Dory’

If you haven’t seen the trailer already (and B&T strongly advises office discretion if you haven’t) then you’d know that the upcoming animated feature by Seth Rogan, Sausage Party, ain’t for kids (see trailer below). In fact, it’s most likely to come with an R-rating when it launches in Australia in August.

However, someone got things really mixed up at the Brenden Concord Cinema in California over the weekend when it aired the trailer before the new G-rated kids flick Finding Dory.

Naturally, the cinema was packed with kids to see the second instalment of the Finding Nemo franchise and their equally horrified parents as the expletives rained forth.

Walter Eichinger, boss of the cinema, was quick to issue at unreserved apology which read: “Playing that trailer was a one-time, honest mistake by a theatre manager moving screens around in an effort to accommodate several large, last-minute groups wanting to see Dory. The wrong movie was started by mistake.

“We regret it, apologise for it and we are not happy that it happened. We fully realise that this trailer is not appropriate for Dory and we would never schedule something like that.”
