Anglicare Holds First Ever Live Art Auction Using goa’s Digital Billboards

Over the past six weeks, out-of-home media pprovider goa and Anglicare Southern Queensland have collaborated to raise awareness for mental health and wellbeing through the charity’s Arts&Minds initiative.

While thousands of commuters were stuck in traffic each week, they were able to watch six local artists create stunning artwork via Facebook Live and snapshots of the progress updated to THE goa GRID.

The completed artwork then ‘hung’ for bidding for the entire week with live bid updates, seeing goa and Anglicare the first to create a large-scale public art auction via digital billboards.

All funds went directly to Anglicare’s mental health initiatives to support those living with mental health challenges.

The local artists included Kyan De Vere from Mudgeeraba, Rochelle Alahendra from Daisy Hill, Cielle van Vuuren from The Gap, Jayne Curle from Elanora, Ash Peel from Manly, and Lorelle Murray from Coolum.

Having been affected directly or indirectly by mental health challenges at some point in their lives, the artists had the opportunity to express their emotions and share their stories while gaining massive exposure for their art.
