Wesley Mission and Adshel roll out suicide prevention campaign

Outdoor advertiser Adshel has partnered with Wesley Mission in a suicide prevention campaign.

With over 2,500 Australians taking their own lives annually, the incentive to help identify and prevent suicide is immense.

'Spot the signs, help stop suicide' will be rolled out across the country through Adshel spaces as part of its 'The Importance of Giving Back campaign'.

The three poster advertisements were photographed by Sydney photographer Nick May and will run in metropolitan and regional areas until the end of 2014.

The posters focus upon three different people who are dealing with a range of tangible and pressing issues.

The campaign message is to help Australians spot the signs of suicide as early as possible and to attend a Wesley LifeForce suicide intervention skills training workshop.

“More lives are lost to suicide each year than from skin cancer or road deaths,” Rev Dr Keith Garner, the CEO of Wesley Mission, said.

“Simple effective interventions can make a difference and save lives."
