Tim Tam: 85 year old Bert's story

Tim Tam: 85 year old Bert's story

Tim Tam’s 50th birthday celebrations continue as the biscuit brand releases more emotional footage of the reunions it created in the remote Queensland town of Winton.

The new content is a video (below) depicting 85-year old Winton resident, Bert, and his reunion with his daughter who he hasn’t seen in years.

Bert, who’s health is ailing, wished to see his daughter again before leaves this world.

The content was captured from an activation which saw a Tim Tam branded Qantas charter plane fly in the loved ones of Winton residents from across Australia and as far afield as the UK. For more details click here.

In addition to the three-minute long video a suite of TVCs and more online content created by DDB Group Sydney is launching.

A consumer activation created by The Zoo Republic is also in play. The on-pack promotion offers ’50 Trips in 50 days’ and is a collaboration between Tim Tam and Qantas.

Susanna Polycarpou, marketing director, Arnott’s said: "Australians have loved and connected over Tim Tam biscuits for 50 years and we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate this milestone with a year of togetherness on a large scale. Each element of the integrated campaign, from the reunion in Winton to our advertising campaign, long-form content and on-pack promotion highlight what we believe has allowed the humble biscuit to remain Australia’s favourite chocolate biscuit – its ability to connect all Aussies… in addition to its irresistible chocolate layers of deliciousness of course!”
