TAC to reward geared up riders

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) will reward motorcyclists wearing full protective riding gear as the commission activates its renewed sponsorship of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

The TAC has signed on as a sponsor of the Grand Prix for another three years and will offer a free lunch to riders who arrive at the event wearing full protective clothing.

Janet Dore, TAC’s CEO, said: “Located at Turn 1, the Spokes Protective Clothing Lounge is a reward for motorcyclists who do the right thing and take responsibility for their safety when out on the roads.”

A second TAC on track site will use augmented reality so riders can virtually try on protective clothing to see what they would look like wearing it.

The TAC is one of the Motorcycle Grand Prix’s longest running supporters having sponsored the event since 1998. Other sponsors of the event include Swann Insurance, Monster Energy and Honda.

The experiential campaign comes a week after the TAC launched its new motorcycle campaign (below).
