Sydney Festival's new social tool, ANZ Buzz

Sydney Festival's new social tool, ANZ Buzz

ANZ has launched a new social media tool to allow Sydney Festival punters to create a personalised list of all their social chatter surrounding the event.

The app, ANZ Buzz, will automatically collate and store social media posts by connecting with users accounts and using the #SydFest hashtag.

The app, which was built by digital agency Reactive and designed to leverage the bank’s sponsorship of the event, will pull updates from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

ANZ Buzz will also feature a map view so festival goers can identify ‘hotspots’ that have generated the most updates and picture posts.

Karen Donaldson, general manager of marketing for ANZ, said: “Social media has become an important part of the festival experience and this is another way in which we are supporting Sydney Festival.

“ANZ Buzz will help visitors track social media activity in one place and ensure the best moments are captured and shared.”

ANZ has been a sponsor of the Sydney Festival since 2008. For more on the event read B&T’s profile of Jill Colvin, the festival’s head of marketing, communications and digital strategy, here.
