OgilvyAction secures Ego

Ogilvy Group Melbourne has maintained its grip on independent skin care company, Ego Pharmaceuticals, following a four-way pitch.

The Group will pull to together a range of its Melbourne-based agencies to service the account with brand activation shop, OgilvyAction, the lead on the business.

Creative agency Badjar Ogilvy, digital firm DT, production agency One20 and STW Group’s media agency Ikon will also work on the account.

OgilvyAction’s first project has already been set, with the agency charged with injecting life into the heritage story behind Ego’s QV brand.

The first set of work will target expecting and new mothers.

Sean Taylor, chief executive of OgilvyAction, said: “Ego and QV have an incredible heritage and story to tell, one that we believe will engage consumers, and grow awareness among the broader market.”

“Many consumers may not be aware that QV actually stands for Queen Victoria hospital, for which the product was originally developed. We will work to deliver this message while attracting a range of new customers interested in the best products for themselves and their families.

“We are excited to be working with such an outstanding Australian company on a campaign that will demonstrate our in store, shopper marketing, brand and retail experience via a full service creative response. It is great win for OgilvyAction and the Ogilvy group.”
