Plan International Australia has launched a mini-documentary discussing the importance of play for a child’s development.

The mini-doco launches Plan International Australia’s ‘Supporter of Change’ fundraising program.

It tells the story of Hennock, a five-year-old-boy from Ethiopia, who wants to be a helicopter pilot.

In independent cinemas from today the it was directed and edited by Chris Phillips and produced by Charlotte Strong and Sinead Blessing.

Plan International Australia CEO Ian Wishart said: “This film may be short, but it has a powerful impact and it is unlike anything we’ve produced before. We hope Hennock’s story will hit a chord with Australians everywhere and help us all realise just how important the right to play can be.”
