Banjo bags more work for Crown

EXCLUSIVE: Crown Resorts Group has strengthen ties with independent Sydney advertising agency Banjo by appointing it to work its Crown Melbourne business.

Crown and Banjo have worked closely over the last 18 months on the launch of Crown Perth and the group's corporate branding campaign.

Andrew Varasdi, managing partner of Banjo Advertising, confirmed the appointment to B&T.

"The Crown Resorts Group is an internationally recognised premium luxury brand. To have the opportunity to expand our involvement across the business to include Crown Melbourne is extremely exciting for everyone involved in the agency.”

In February, Banjo picked up “digital innovator” McCann World Group’s Kevin McKay as digital director, in a move which the agency said signaled a “conscious decision to expand” into the digital space. McKay ran the digital offering for the London 2012 Olympics.

Also in February, Crown Melbourne’s marketing boss, Melinda Madigan, was lured to head up the marketing functions at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.
