Agencies create light art for Vivid Sydney

Advertising agencies have been given the chance to flex their creative muscles at Vivid Sydney where agencies, including Frost and Designworks, will feature in the annual festival of lights.

Frost has partnered with lighting design and sound engineering consultants at Arup to create an interactive environment through light and sound called Ricochet.

Ricochet will feature intersecting laser beams to create a laser web in the Suez Canal laneway in the Rocks with ARIA award winning song writer Lee Groves to create the sound track.

The Benevolent Society has become the first charity to feature in the Vivid Light festival.

Designworks helped create the Hundreds and Thousands installation, designed to mark the organisation’s 200th anniversary celebrations in May.

The installation forms part of a wider-reaching strategy Designworks has in place to revitalise The Benevolent Society’s brand identity.

The festival will run from May 24 until June 10 and includes the famous illumination of the Sydney Opera House sails.

More than 500,000 people experienced the Vivid Light festival last year.
