Creative duo Chris Berents (left in photo) and Tom Johnson (right) have joined 303 MullenLowe from BMF, joining recently appointed ECD Scott Huebscher.

Together the two were behind recent ALDI campaigns, including the grocer’s award-winning Christmas campaigns ‘Dig in Doug’ and ‘Santa Crashes Christmas’.

ECD Scott Huebscher added, “Not only are Chris and Tom two of the most incredibly talented creatives you’ll ever meet – they are also two of the nicest human beings I have worked with”.

303 MullenLowe managing director Joanna Gray said, “We are building an agency driven by data, strategic and tech smarts but at its heart it requires creative ingenuity to allow brands to engage meaningfully with people – Tom and Chris are an important new part of that capability. It’s great to have them on board.”

Berents’ career has taken him from the Clemenger BBDO mailroom to award stages in France, America, London and Australia for work he has done at Droga5, BMF and Clemenger BBDO. Known as the bear, he has worked on award winning campaigns for Sega, Thredbo, V Energy Drink, Telstra, VB and three ALDI Christmas campaigns.

But it’s not all art and copy for Berents, who also started a successful flower business, aptly named Little Flowers which is now entering its sixth year of trading and growing strong.

Johnson started his career at TBWA Auckland, before moving over the ditch in 2015 to join DDB Sydney. For the past three and a half years he has been working with Chris at BMF, developing the highly awarded ALDI ‘Good Different’ platform and the much- awarded ALDI Christmas campaigns. He was also behind the work for the Australian Department of Social Services, including the ‘Stop it at the Start’ campaign.
