adidas Releases Special 4/20 Shoe With A South Park Twist

As Nike and Lil Nas X continue to fight it out over an unapproved collaboration, adidas and South Park have joined forces for another footwear crossover.

adidas announced last week that it had created a brand new version of its Campus 80 shoe as a nod to South Park‘s beloved Towelie character.

The shoe is covered in the famous towel character’s ‘Chalk Purple’ colour and are made from terrycloth fabric to truly give a towel-like feel.

There’s also a tribute to some of Towelie’s best quotes, with “Don’t forget to bring a towel” and “I have no idea what’s going on” on the inside of each shoe.

Although the unique colour and material will be sure to make sure the shoe standout, what’s really noteworthy about the shoe is that it is one big celebration of 4/20 – the annual cannabis-oriented celebrations that take place on April 20 each year.

As well as being released on 4/20 this year, the shoe also includes hidden pockets designed for shoe owners to hide their weed.

Another cannabis-focused detail is the eyes on the shoes’ tongue. While they appear normal at first glance, when exposed to UV lighting they will turn bloodshot.
