Adam Ballesty Talks About His Next Move Following Shock Foxtel Exit

Adam Ballesty shocked the media world yesterday when he announced his resignation from Foxtel as the director of marketing, sports.

As first reported by B&T, Ballesty’s departure comes within five months of his appointment to the role.

Ballesty spoke with B&T today about his decision, and what lies on the horizon for him moving forward.

“I’m having some time off before I kick off onto a new, exciting adventure in April,” Ballesty explained, “My move is a personal one based on an opportunity that was presented to me.

“That’s the reason why I’m leaving”.

B&T understands that Ballesty will be taking on a new role as the GM Asia of Seedlip.

Seedlip, the world’s first non-alcoholic spirits, brands itself as solving the dilemma of “what to drink when you’re not drinking”.

Multinational alcoholic beverage company Diageo invested in the British startup in 2016, and it made its arrival into the Australian market the following year.

Prior to joining Foxtel, Ballesty was with Diageo in a marketing capacity.

Ballesty concluded: “I was presented with a new, exciting opportunity and I grabbed it with both hands”.

Ballesty’s unexpected exit from Foxtel came just a few months after CMO Andy Lark resigned in October of last year.

Foxtel has not yet released an official statement on Ballesty’s departure.
