Sunday TV Wrap: ABC’s Spicks And Specks Wins The Night In Entertainment, While 379,000 Farewell Sunday Night

Sunday night in TV-land saw the ABC win the night in entertainment with Spicks and Specks (Aus Music Special) rein in 721,000 viewers, while Seven and 379,000 Aussies farewelled Sunday Night, according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Nine won the night in overall audience share with 30.4 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs. Seven had 26.5 per cent, the ABC had 19.0 per cent, 10 did 14.6 per cent and SBS did 9.4 per cent.

In the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, Seven (859,000) saw off Nine (734,000).

Hamish and Andy continued to pull the numbers for Nine, with Perfect Holiday seeing 715,000 Aussies tune in, which was only slightly down on last week’s debut (881,0000). It was also the number one program in all key demos (16 to 39, 18 to 49, and 25 to 54) and timeslot. Meanwhile, 60 Minutes enjoyed 528,000 eyeballs.

Over at 10, its best was The Sunday Project (371,000), followed by NCIS (284,000), The Graham Norton Show (330,000) and 10 News First (277,000).

Seven’s night ran thus: The First Test peaked at 470,000 metro viewers, Zumbo’s Just Desserts pulled 405,000, while Weekend Sunrise saw 261,000 people tune in.

The ABC’s evening ran this way: 7pm news (688,000) and the Mystify: Michael Hutchence doco pulled 418,000 viewers.
