Someone off screen can be heard saying, “there’s an earthquake, holy shit,” while another says, “I’ve never had an earthquake in here before!”.
Then, a voice can be heard saying, “f*cking scary.”
Rowland asked whether it was an earthquake or a structural issue. He then said, “let’s go, that was a big one.”
Co-host Tony Armstrong then commented, “that’s still tremoring.”
Tremors from the earthquake were felt throughout the country, including in Adelaide, Sydney and Canberra.
According to the 9News website, the Channel Nine headquarters in Melbourne/Naarm’s Docklands had to be evacuated as a safety precaution.
