Who hasn’t dreamt of winning the lottery? Retire early to spend the rest of your days wallowing on the beach, cocktail in hand!
And with the US Powerball jackpot reaching a staggering $US685 million ($A938 million)) for today’s draw, Louisiana TV station KSLA thought it was well worth a story in its evening news.
Intrepid reporter Kori Johnson was tasked with the report and headed to a local convenience store to interview locals buying up tickets for the draw.
Johnson posed the rather predictable question to one punter investing in lottery tickets, asking what he’d do with all that money if he won?
To which the chap responded: “Well, I’m definitely going to get a new supercharged Mustang with dual exhaust and about five kilos of cocaine. And I’ll be good to go.”
Ever the professional, Johnson deflected the dodgy response by simply asking: “Okay, so you like cars?” before attempting to laugh the incident off.
