Targeting women over 50, Bauer Media’s new magazine entitled Yours is due to be released in the first week of February with its content being less celebrity focused than its counterpart magazines.

According to Fusion Strategy, Bauer deems its “realistic” target is selling around 80,000 copies per issue for the magazine, The Australian reports.

Current editor-in-chief of Bauer’s Women’s Day, Fiona Connolly, will also take on Yours adding a second editor-in-chief position to her repertoire.

With an increased focus on local women, it is believed Yours will feature women in its target demographic such as Wendy Harmer, Noni Hazlehurst and Ita Buttrose.

The Australian reports: "It will have very little celebrity coverage and only when it fits,'' Fusion said.

"It will deal with real life, with lifestyle advice, health both physical and emotional, travel, finance, homes, gardening, pets, fashion and beauty and food as the main sections.''

A UK version of Yours was launched as a fortnightly magazine in 2007 and “covers many of the issues and interests of women in this age range – health, relevant news, fashion and beauty that is affordable and wearable, nostalgia triggered by events in the world today, connecting readers with others and campaigning on key issues such as caring,” according Bauer Media’s UK website.
