Woolworths has launched its Every Day Savings campaign with a new TVC and free download giveaway which launches off its sponsorship of The Voice.
As the savings competition between Coles and Woolworths continues, Woolies announced its biggest ever Every Day Savings campaign at the end of May. The campaign aims to save families around $400 a year with some prices cut by up to 33 per cent.
The 90-second TVC was aired last night coinciding with the grand finale of The Voice and was created by Droga5. It follows a Woolworths employee – also a working mum – on her way to work as the sun dawns. Her narration reflects how we have less time for the fleeting, precious moments in life, but concludes, “Who says less is more?… The least we can do is help lighten the load. Why settle for less when we deserve more?”
Complimenting the campaign and launching off the company’s sponsorship of The Voice, Woolworths has absorbed the costs of the four finalists’ renditions of John Farnham’s “You’re the Voice”, making them available as free downloads. Once the track has been downloaded from a custom landing page, customers are invited to peruse the Woolworths website for further savings.
More than 44,500 Australians have downloaded the track since the show's grand finale aired last night.
Woolworth’s head of marketing operations, Karen Madden, said the company is committed to providing more value to customers every day.
“We know it’s more important than ever for our customers to tightly manage their family budget. We’ve delivered hundreds of price cuts in store so Aussie families have more control and this free music download is yet another saving that reaffirms our value commitment to our customers," she said.
A few weeks ago, it was found that Woolworths is Australia’s most valued brand for 2013.
