Virtual packing game helps fit more in

There never seems to be enough room in the boot of the car to pack all those things you need for your family outing.

Sometimes it’s like a game of Tetris trying to fit everything in, squashing this here, wedging that in there, and leaving that out because there’s no damn way it will fit in.

Recognising the everyday struggles most families face trying to pack their car Nissan has partnered up with outdoor media company, oOh! to devise a solution to this problem.

The virtual Nissan Vehicle developed challenges shoppers to pack the boot of this virtual car with many items they might need for their outings.

The game aims to demonstrate the Nissan X-Trail and Pathfinder’s large boot space by challenging shoppers to drag items in the correct order to pack the car and ensure everything fits.

The game has four settings – the beach, camping grounds, the playground and in the city, each with its own set of items to be packed.

This is the sixth year the oOh! Factor has been showcasing cars for Nissan, said Blair Hamilford, oOh!’s commercial director of sales and retail.

“Each year the ideas become more innovative as the campaigns are developed in collaboration with Aegis Media’s Sponsorship and Integration team.

“The success of Nissan’s Retail showcases is due to the innovative Shopping Centre displays and activities which attract millions of families during the school holidays,” said Hamilford.

The campaign will run until January 19 across key shopping centres in Australia, running from Thursday to Sunday.

So if you’ve ever had trouble packing the car with all those essentials, why not have a bit of a practice?
