Under the Dome beats the Bake Off

Nine played second fiddle in the prime-time 7pm to 8.30pm time slot last night, also coming third behind Ten’s Under the Dome in the important 8.30pm bracket.

Big Brother pulled in 1.042 million viewers on Tuesday, sitting behind Seven’s combination of Home and Away (1.064 million) and The X Factor, which with an audience of 1.510 million was the evening’s most watched.

Seven’s Winners & Losers also won the 8.30pm time slot (it started later at 8.45pm) with 1.017 million viewers. Ten’s fast-tracked US drama Under the Dome took 11th most watched show with 834,000 viewers, beating Nine’s The Great Australian Bake Off.

The Great Australian Bake Off ranked 15th in total people, with a preliminary metro audience of 722,000, according to OzTam.

Nine’s foodie offering did outperform Ten’s MasterChef Australia in total people (616,000) but it was the ABC’s new program Kitchen Cabinet that won the cooking show competition, with 751,000 viewers at 8pm.

Seven took the largest share of all free-to-air viewers with 31.9% compared to Nine’s 26.4%.

Ten sat just behind the ABC (18.6%) on 18.3% and SBS took 4.8%.
