Tourism Tassie's giant musical chairs

Tourism Tasmania turned the front lawn of Sydney’s MCA at Circular Quay into massive game of ‘musical chairs’ as part of its ‘Cheeky Half Million Dollar Seat Giveaway’.

The giveaway saw participants battle it out for a chair in a bid to win return Qantas flights for two to Tasmania this winter.

There was DJ entertainment and TV personality David Whitehall to keep the momentum up.

The surprise twist at the end of the game was that every participant would receive return flights even if they didn’t manage to snag a seat in musical chairs.

John Fitzgerald, Tourism Tasmania’s chief executive officer, said: “Tassie has some really cool events this winter. Not only do we want more people to know about the many great things to do here at that time of the year, but we want them to come down and discover for themselves why we’re developing a reputation as a great year-round travel destination for a break or longer stay.”

The opportunity to win one of thousands of return flights for two to Tasmania this winter is now available online here.
