The Block again became the ratings darling on Thursday night, claiming top spot in the absence of My Kitchen Rules.
Nine’s The Block: Fans v Faves won top spot last night with an audience of 1.134 million, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.
Nine also took home the largest share of all free-to-air viewers with a combined result of 31.4%. The network’s primary channel won 22.4%.
Seven’s new extended news bulletin beat the hour-long Nine News.
The first half of Seven News pulled in 1.059 million before it switched to Today Tonight in Perth and Adelaide with the news continuing in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Overall Seven News/Today Tonight came in third with 1.038 million viewers.
The combined Perth and Adelaide audience saw 279,000 viewers watch Today Tonight.
The second half of Seven News narrowly beat Nine News at 6.30 in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with 759,000 people choosing to watch Seven compared to the 754,000 who went with Nine.
Seven came second overall with a combined share of 25.9% and 18.5% of all FTA viewers for its primary channel.
ABC came third with 19.5% and 13.8% for ABC1. Ten followed in fourth place with a total 17.4% share and 9.4% for its main channel.
SBS sat on 5.9% with 4.8% for SBS ONE.
