Ten gets the ratings Puberty Blues

Network Ten (14.2%) has been beaten by the ABC (15.8%) to third spot again last night according to the preliminary OzTam ratings.

Channel Seven won the night overall with 34.5% of the total free to air show, thanks largely to My Kitchen Rules, which attracted 1.640 million compared to The Block Fans v Favs, which managed 1.346 million.

Nine's overall share was 30.7%.

Seven and Nine shared nine of the top ten programs while Network Ten could only manage 15th as its first entry into the top 20 with its news program attracting 610,000. Tens ratings hope Puberty Blues meanwhile languished in 17th spot garnering only 464,000 eyeballs in the five metro cities.

However the network could take some solace in the fact that Puberty Blues was the second most time-shifted program from the night before, takings it consolidated viewing total to 651,000. That represented a 24% increase in the overnight viewings so Ten will be hoping that trend continues.

The most time-shifted program was Seven’s The Blacklist, which was viewed 228,000 times after the show went to air. The problem here of course is that the whole point of time shifting is to skip the advertisements.
