Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) is on the lookout for a new chief executive to replace outgoing chief Rob Giason.
The tourism body has began wide-spread advertising for the role and is seeking a candidate with “a proven record of success in providing executive and inspirational leadership” within tourism and event marketing roles.
The body’s mission is to grow sustainable tourism and aims to increase visitor expenditure in the area from $1b to $3.2b by 2015.
The successful applicant would report to TTNQ’s chairman of board directors and would have nine direct reports including director of sales and marketing.
Another criteria for the CEO gig is “demonstrated deliverance of high performance and growth in a competitive marketplace, especially in both national and international leisure and business tourism”.
