News Limited’s The Sunday Times has hired Charlene D’Monte (pictured) as its new senior marketing manager.
D’Monte, who is currently marketing communications manager for the title, will report to the managing director Michelle d’Almeida, and will head up consumer marketing strategy across The Sunday Times and PerthNow, including print, digital, mobile and tablet.
D’Monte takes over the reins from Scott Waters, who recently moved to lead the division’s digital content.
d’Almeida said: “Charlene knows The Sunday Times, its brands and the WA market intimately. She is an exceptional, customer-focused leader and brings fantastic marketing and communications experience to this new role.”
“Our brand position has never been stronger following the refresh of The Sunday Times in print as well as PerthNow’s online and mobile site. Additionally, the launch of our ‘We’re for WA’ campaign has enhanced the emotional connection we share with our consumers," she added.
D’Monte started at The Sunday Times in 2006 and has held various marketing roles during that time.
