Aegis Media Australia & New Zealand has today announced that Stuart Mitchell, deputy chairman, has resigned from the company.
Mitchell said the decision was difficult, but that it was time to do other things.
Aegis Media ANZ is a group of some 30 media, marketing and communications businesses. A takeover of the group was completed by Japanese advertising giant Dentsu in late March of this year for $4.8 billion.
Stuart Mitchell came to Aegis when his father, Harold, sold his business Mitchell Partners to Aegis in 2010 for $363 million.
Harold Mitchell, executive chairman – Aegis Media ANZ said, “I’m grateful for the incredible single handed contribution by Stuart at my side for more than two decades. It was one of advertising’s great team efforts. As for the future, it is business as usual”.
