Strong show for The X Factor

The X Factor stole the show for Seven last night, with more than 1.6 million people tuning in to see Jiordan Tolli leave the competition.

A total of 1.637 million fans watched Tolli battle it out with Third D3gree to remain in the contest, according to figures from OzTam.

Seven’s new drama The Blacklist, from the US, also put on a strong performance for the network, pulling in an audience of 1.297 million across the country’s five metro regions.

Seven and Nine dominated the top 10 most-watched free-to-air programs last night, taking out spots one to eight.

The ABC was the only other network to make it into the top 10, with Australian Story attracting 976,000 viewers, in ninth place.

Nine News and Seven News were third and fourth, with audiences of 1,196 million and 1.194 million respectively.

Two episodes of The Big Bang Theory did well for Nine, with audiences of 1.072 million and 1.039 million, taking out fifth and seventh places.

The remainder of the top 10 comprised of Seven’s Today Tonight (sixth, 1.066 million), Seven’s Home and Away (eighth, 1.003 million) and Nine’s A Current Affair (10th, 975,000).
