Starcom has secured Hourigan International’s Toby Barbour to fill the newly created client services director role.
Barbour will work across the media agency’s Samsung and Optus accounts and report into Starcom Sydney’s general manager, Sue Kallas.
Barbour was most recently GM of sales and innovation at recruiting firm Hourigan International.
He was GM of consumer marketing at Sony Australia for five years and has held a variety of marketing roles with Olympus and Polaroid.
On his appointment Kallas said: “We look forward to applying Toby’s experience in technology and digital innovation across two of our most dynamic and transformative clients in the Sydney office.”
Barbour added: “Starcom puts the human experience at the heart of everything it does and that’s what really excites me about this role – the engagement point with the consumer.”
