Seven wins the Anzac Day ratings race


Anzac Day saw low audience numbers, with news dominating the evening television viewing.

Channel Seven had a big night, with seven of the top 10 most-watched shows last night being on Seven.

Seven News won the rankings race, pulling in 1.377 million viewers across Australia’s five city metro areas, according to figures from Oztam.

It was closely followed by Nine News, with 1.149 million, and then Seven’s Today Tonight, with 1.149 million.

Home and Away, on Seven, was the highest-ranking non-current affairs show, with 958,000 pairs of eyes tuning in to catch the latest goings-on in Summer Bay.

ABC News was in fifth spot with 926,000 viewers, followed by Mrs Brown’s Boys, on Seven, with an audience of 922,000.

After Nine’s A Current Affair (920,000) came Border Security: International (889,000), the AFL Anzac Day Football (847,000) and Deal or No Deal (776,000), all on Seven.
