Seven wins battle of the dramas but Nine leads

Living rooms were again the scene of a fierce battle for ratings supremacy between rivals Nine and Seven on Sunday evening, where Nine succeeded to take the lead, just.

Seven had more top 10 programs and Seven News was the most watched (1.56 million) but Nine managed to win with a narrow 0.3 percentage point lead.

Nine’s The Block Sky High pulled in an audience of 1.476 million, pushing Nine to take first place with a 22.6% share of all free-to-air viewers.

The reno show outperformed Sunday Night (1.301 million) on Seven which claimed an overall 22.3% share with its main channel, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Nine’s 60 Minutes also beat Highway Patrol and The Force on Seven, with 1.405 million viewers compared to 962,000 and 1.035 million.

Ten’s The Biggest Loser: Next Generation sat in 12th place with 905,000 viewers.The result is an improvement on last week’s 728,000.

Seven won the drama challenge with A Place to Call Home watched by 1.16 million viewers compared to House Husbands 1.034 million.

Elementary, which also aired at 8.30 pm, pulled in 791,000 viewers for Ten.

Ten took a 14.8% share of all free-to-air viewers ahead of the ABC’s 14% and SBS’ 4.5%
