Seven’s big two deliver 3.187m between them

Seven went one two again last night, with MKR snaring 1.805m and Packed to the Rafters 1.382m viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

The Block: All Stars ran a close third 1.357m would-be renovators tuning in.

In the battle of the news, Seven just squeezed out Nine, with 1.230m and 1.160m respectively. Seven can thank its dominant performance in the Perth newsroom, which delivered the network victory despite Nine beating it convincingly in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Overall Seven’s domination marched on unabated with 29% of the total free to air market and five of the top ten viewed programs.

Ten picked itself back up off the canvas to a certain extent, managing an improved 12.5%, only 0.03% behind the ABC. Nine managed 19.9% (agonisingly close to 20%) thanks to the above-mentioned Block as well as the ongoing popularity of Big Bang Theory repeats, with two episodes taking out tenth and eleventh spot.

SBS didn’t bag a single top 20 slot, while Nine had seven, Seven had six and the ABC scored five.
