Seven’s ratings juggernaut The X Factor continues to clear all in its path with another emphatic win for the program with 1.474 million viewers although it’s fair to say the other networks appear to have given up competing.
Seven won the evening with 35.5 per cent of the free-to-air evening share, according to the preliminary OzTam ratings. Nine was well behind in second place with 28.6 e-per cent of the combined metro audience.
Seven’s dominance was underscored by its complete takeover of the podium with The X Factor being joined by Seven’s news with 1.253 million and Sunday Night with 1.220 million viewers.
Nine’s Australia’s Got Talent managed only 982,000 viewers and sixth place overall behind that network’s News, with 1.189 million viewers and Sixty Minutes 1.132 million.
The ABC and Ten were a dead heat for third place overall with 15.5 per cent of the share each, while SBS caught the attention of only 5.0 per cent of free-to-air audience.
