Seven West Media’s Kurt Burnette and Nick Chan have been promoted as the media company completes a restructure in the wake of Rohan Lund’s decision to leave the head operations role.

Burnette, currently chief sales and digital officer, has been promoted to chief revenue officer.

Pacific Magazine’s chief executive Chan (pictured) has been moved to chief operating officer of Seven West Media, a shift that will see his remit broadened to include TV and online in addition to magazines.

Chief executive Tim Worner said the changes place innovation at the core of the business and are designed to bring departments closer to deliver new revenue streams.

“It focuses our businesses, drives a leaner operating model and enhances our abilities to create and nurture synergies across our businesses.”

Burnette will now lead revenue across group sales, data and analytics, Yahoo!7 and Seven West’s push into Hbb TV and video on demand, Worner said.

“He will also be overseeing a number of non-digital initiatives as we expand the company’s presence beyond broadcast television and publishing, and will also have responsibility for the company’s business development process including the establishment of an ‘incubator for new revenue streams.”

Worner commended Chan for his management of the publishing business through the “structural headwinds”.

Chan will be now be responsible for the company’s “ability to produce our content more efficiently as well as securing greater utility from that content”, Worner added.

“Nick will oversee the ongoing reorganisation of our ‘back office’ as well as implementation of new systems managing our content and revenue.”

Meanwhile, Rohan Lund has been moved into a transitioning role following his decision to step down as chief operating officer.

The roles of commercial director Bruce McWilliam, chief financial officer Dave Boorman, group chief of corporate and regulatory affairs Bridget Fair and group human resources director Melanie Allibon are unchanged.

All continue to report into Worner.
