Re-fresh for Dolly

Re-fresh for Dolly

Bauer Media’s youth girl magazine, Dolly, has refreshed itself to “make it different to anything else on the market”.

According to a release by Magazines Publishers of Australia (MPA) the redesign will be “even more relevant to young girls and teens”.

The Audit Bureau Results (ABC) results are due to be released tomorrow which will see the circulation results from the previous audit for magazines such as Dolly.

A letter from editor-in-chief, Lucy Cousins, outlines how the new Dolly has attitude and a unique point of view, while still maintaining the regular favourites such as Dolly Doctor and big-sisterly advice.

The new issue features Selena Gomez on the front cover and promises a brand new Dolly photo love story as well as more fashion, beauty, posters and celebrities.

“Dolly knows what makes girls tick, providing them with must-read content that’s relevant to all aspects of their lives, from family, friends and relationships to work and study,” Cousins said in the MPA release.

“The key to Dolly’s success is that it relates to readers on their level – as a valued friend and confidante providing girls with the tools to help navigate their teenage years.”

The team at Dolly are also channelling more of their energy into Dolly’s social media channels that include notes and experiences from staff as well as engaging and fun images from around the world.

“Our engagement rates are exceptionally high and the response we get is immediate and positive. The entire Dolly team contribute to our social media channels, making it one of the most dynamic platforms we work on.”

The re-fresh went on sale Monday, February 10.
