The Queensland Government has called media pitch for its master account putting incumbent MediaCom Brisbane on alert.
Under Campbell Newman the government has cut its advertising spending as it looks to rein in budgetary costs in teh first half of this year.
It is the first major pitch to be announced over the festive period, with a closing date of January 21, and it is understood the pitch comes as the Mediacom contract is expiring.
A number of government agencies including Tourism Queensland have been reviewing their creative accounts, with Queensland Transport and Main Roads reopening a pitch after failing to appoint an agency.
