EXCLUSIVE: PHD has confirmed that it’s been appointment to the Hotels.com digital media business in Australia and New Zealand.
PHD will take over media duties from incumbent Amnesia Razorfish. The appointment was made without a pitch.
Commenting on the win, Toby Hack (pictured), MD of PHD, said: “We are delighted to be working with Hotels.com. This is a great opportunity to jointly drive digital innovation and continue what has been stellar growth over the past ten years for Hotels.com.
Katherine Cole, regional marketing director of Hotels.com, added: “Australians’ love affair with travel is blossoming, and while they are very savvy about finding the best deals, media consumption is rapidly changing the way they book. Having worked with PHD in Asia for nearly two years we saw this as a great opportunity to extend the partnership in Australia and New Zealand for all our digital marketing needs.”
Last year PHD was named global media agency of the year by AdWeek Magazine in America, after winning the majority of the massive Unilever global planning account.
