International media group Omnicom has announced its acquisition of SEO company Bruce Clay Australiasia to join its search network, Resolution.
Resolution Media is itself a consolidation of Omnicom’s search brands, united together last year.
The acquisition of Bruce Caly was made to complete the search and digital marketing business using Omnicom’s employees and Bruce Clay Australia’s existing clients.
The cofounders of Bruce Clay Australasia, Des Odell and Jeremy Bolt, have now become joint CEOs of Resolution Australia.
Odell said; “Aligning with Omnicom Media Group made perfect sense to us as we work with them already on shared clients and believe that the time is right in this market for Resolution Media to shine.”
Bolt said; “We believe there is an opportunity to create the leading search brand in Australia and leverage our joint know-how into providing a gamut of services that clients require, ensuring they maximise their return on investment across all digital channels”.
Omnicom’s CEO Leigh Terry said he’d followed the pair as they built the SEO business. “Combining Resolution Media’s expertise with Bruce Clay Australia’s achievements is not only exciting from a shared service ethic and cultural alignment perspective but it also complements the overall philosophy of our organization. I am truly excited at the power of the potential of this supercharged Resolution,” he said.
