Interpublic’s sport and entertainment marketing agency, Octagon, has appointed Wylie Fowler as general manager after an extensive international search.
Fowler’s promotion from group strategy director will see him fill the role previously held by Rob Vercoe who departed in late May after almost four years with the agency to take on a client side appointment.
Fowler joined Octagon in 2012 from Moon Communications, where he was the director of strategy and planning. Prior to this, he has held roles with Sony Music, General Pants and Coke.
Fowler will be responsible for the agency’s marketing division which handles brand engagement, experiential, integrated creative, content production, research and strategy work for the likes of Lion, Telstra, MasterCard, ANZ, Samsung and Red Bull.
Fowler starts in his new role on Monday 10th June and will based in the agency’s Sydney offices.
