OMD has recruited Vanessa Nicol to fill the head of Telstra role from M&C Saatchi where she was senior business director for Optus.
Nicol replaces Tom Sutton who is returning to the UK.
She has more than 16 years experience in telecommunications, before joining M&C Saatchi in 2011 she was Virgin Mobile’s head of acquisition marketing. Nicol has also worked with BT and Optus.

Nicol will report to Aimee Buchanan, general manager of OMD Sydney, when picks up her new post on January 13.
